Welcome to St Andrew's Primary School
We are a small village school dedicated to providing an exciting and challenging learning environment in a fantastic rural setting on the Essex/Suffolk border. Since September 2017 we have joined on that journey with St Giles' Primary at Maplestead, two small schools working together to provide a fresh outlook to an excellent primary experience.
At St Andrew’s C of E Primary School we are curious, excited and really love to learn. As a Christian school community we support each other through our shared values to become robust, independent learners who persevere, have the courage and confidence to be creative and imaginative, care for one another and the community we live in.
I am always delighted to welcome visitors to St Andrew's.

‘Behaviour at the school, both in lessons and at play, is good. Pupils show respect towards others and support each other well. They enjoy school’.
Relationships are at the heart of this school. Pupils are known individually by all staff and are nurtured, supported and kept safe. Their well-being is given a high priority.

The Chorus Schools’ Christian Vision
‘Do everything in Love’
1 Corinthians 16:14
At the Chorus Schools Federation, our belief in God’s love for everyone guides our thoughts, actions and words to support us all to thrive in every way. This means that we become robust and independent in our learning, able to persevere with courage and confidence, committed to caring for ourselves, for one another, and for our world.
The teachings of Paul in his letters to the Corinthians explains the nature of love; it is patient, kind, always protects, and always perseveres. Love never fails.
To; ‘Do everything in love’ 1 Corinthians 16:14 is his instruction to us and means to let love guide our thoughts, actions and words so that all can thrive.
God’s call to live a life marked by love is a consistent message found throughout scriptures. These are the golden threads that weave through our work and are exemplified by our values – Love, Respect, Trust & Forgiveness within all our schools and beyond.
