Robin Class News (Year 2)
Welcome to Robins!
APRIL 2025
MARCH 2025
FEBRUARY 2025 - Robins enjoyed making cards to celebrate Valentine's Day and writing a message to someone they care about to tell them how wonderful they are.
JANUARY 2025
March 2024 We had an amazing weaving workshop from Braintree silk museum, celebrated World Book Day by dressing up and did some tricky multiplication maths.
February 2024 We have been making pancakes in the woods, learning about light and practicing our maths in lots of different ways.
Week beginning 15th January 2024
We have been learning about the oceans of the world in Geography, particularly the Pacific, Indian and Southern Oceans. We used our speech marks knowledge to write sentences that some sea creatures might say which formed the waves on our amazing collage showing the creatures in the different zones of the Pacific Ocean. We also learnt how rubbish thrown into the oceans can harm animals in the oceans and made jellyfish and fish from items in our recycling bin!

Week beginning 8th January 2024
At the end of the year, Robins finished off their 'Elves and the Shoemaker' work by making slippers for themselves. This week, returning to school after the Christmas holidays, we have been busy thinking about what we want to try in 2024 and have been enjoying lots of practical maths.
